It’s National CNA Week! Nominate an individual or a team for a pizza party!
It’s National CNA Week, and this year’s theme, We’re Unbelievable, celebrates the nearly one million CNAs who show up every single day with compassion, dedication, and heart delivering extraordinary care across the country.
To honor these incredible contributions, we’re giving away a Team Pizza Party to an outstanding CNA or team who exemplifies what it means to be truly unbelievable.
Nominate a CNA or team and share their story with us! Tell us how their commitment and care make a difference every day and they could win a well-deserved pizza party for their team!
*Nominations will be accepted now through Wednesday, June 17th.
The winner will be contacted the week of June 22nd.
On Our Blog: The Training Gap in Assisted Living – and What to Do About it
Behind every well-run assisted living community is a care team that feels prepared, supported, and confident in the work they do every day. But building that team takes more than a good hiring process — it takes an education strategy designed for the real demands of assisted living. In this month’s blog, we explore how training connects directly to turnover, memory care quality, and compliance outcomes — and we share how our Workforce Development: Assisted Living Essentials program is putting those principles into practice with short, role-specific lessons built for busy care teams. Read on to see what the research says and what high-performing communities are doing differently.
Healthcare Academy on the Go!
Healthcare Academy attended three conferences this past month including: North Dakota Long Term Care Association 49th Annual Convention & Expo, Care Providers of Minnesota Assisted Living Summit, NYSHFA I NYSCAL Annual Conference and Expo in Albany, New York and the New Hampshire Health Care Association Conference and Trade show.
Our team — Candie Nayes, Customer Experience Manager; Devyn Rohlk, VP of Marketing; and Rob Suing, VP of Sales — joined industry peers in breakout sessions and floor conversations exploring what’s top of mind across the sector: regulatory shifts, frontline staff retention and development, and how technology — including AI — is beginning to reshape the way care teams learn and grow.
We were proud to be the Presenting Sponsor at the Care Providers of Minnesota Assisted Living Summit and feature our Workforce Development Assisted Living Essentials Program!

National Skilled Nursing Care Week Winners
We’re thrilled to introduce the nursing team from Menard Manor in Menard, TX — the winners of our team pizza party giveaway, celebrating National Skilled Nursing Care Week 2026!
Their nomination says it all:
“What makes our team so special is the way they work together. They support one another during challenging days, celebrate successes together, and always put residents first. Their commitment helps create a warm and welcoming environment where residents can thrive and families feel reassured knowing their loved ones are receiving compassionate care.”
Congratulations to the entire Menard Manor team! Your dedication, teamwork, and heart for resident care are exactly what this recognition is all about. We’re honored to celebrate you!
Stay on Track with Automated Email Notifications
Chasing down incomplete training is exhausting — and costly. Our automated email notifications takes that burden off your plate entirely.
How it works:
Learners receive an email when a course is assigned, plus weekly reminders as the due date approaches until the course is complete. Administrators get an overdue course report, giving a clear snapshot of who needs attention.
The right people get the right information at the right time — so nothing slips through the cracks! The result? Less chasing. Better compliance. Total peace of mind.

We’re Listening – And Acting on What You Tell Us
At Healthcare Academy, your feedback isn’t just collected – it’s read, discussed, and acted on. We review every course evaluation our learners submit, and we’ve built a process to make sure comments that need more immediate attention don’t get lost in the shuffle. When something isn’t working, we want to know, and we want to fix it.
But we’re not just looking at what’s happening inside our courses. We’re constantly monitoring changes in regulatory requirements and keeping a close eye on emerging trends in healthcare so we can identify topics that matter most to you and the individuals in your care. Our goal is a course catalog that stays relevant, current, and genuinely useful – not just compliant.
We’ve also been listening closely to what you’ve told us about the learning experience itself. You’ve asked for content that’s easier to get through, and we’ve heard you. We’re actively working to reduce redundancy across courses, simplify complex content, and shorten courses wherever we can without sacrificing what matters. We’re also paying close attention to whether our content is written at the right level for the people taking it because a course that doesn’t connect with its audience isn’t doing its job.
The bottom line: we’re committed to making our content more engaging, more accessible, and more reflective of the real work you and your teams do every day.
We’d love to keep hearing from you. Whether it’s through a course evaluation, our Ask the Expert feature, a support ticket, or a phone call – every comment, suggestion, and question helps us get better. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
